"Volume II" by Horsehair Everywhere starts out with a one-sided, grungy staticfest. Somewhere in the middle ambiance and static team up with strings to bring joyous music to the listeners' ears. Shortly following this ecstasy, distressed vocals kick in, and one may notice those joyous sounds were never joyous at all, just your mind's perception. This is then followed with an almost-metal noise party in track number nine. With hints of tambourine and screaming, if nothing else on this album jumps out at you, this song surely will. It is impossible to hear this song only once. The album ends on an atmospheric note, vaguely seeming post-apocalyptic. This cd is feedback driven, noisy and grungy, and provokes the mind throughout its entirity. CDr comes in brown cardstocky case, with gunman artwork expertly letterpress printed by band member Lee Noble, and additional paint and ink unique to each from the D.Rex folks.
