how-to/faq

= what kind of files can i upload?

  • mp3 - your latest songs and sounds, recorded shows, remixes, etc.. (upload your friends’ music to entice them to join up!)
  • pics - relevant album art to go along with mp3’s, pictures of the
instruments used, live performance shots, etc… (jpg, gif,…)
  • zips / rar - archive files of entire albums with pics, txt, mp3, etc..

= how should my files be named?

  • all files uploaded will be placed into the upload folders.  these folders can be found in the right sidebar (click “from here” and “from there“). because everything is stored together, please show consideration to your fellow artists by naming your files to always include the artists’ names and song / album / picture titles.
    • for instance, if your group is the koala bears, and your song is called “ping-pong,” your file name might look like this:
      koala_bears-ping-pong.mp3
    • a picture from a show would be:
      koala_bears-live_at_club_med.jpg
    • an archive album could do this:
      koala_bears-super_fuck_shit.zip
